Choosing a paddle is a very personal choice! you start by asking what conditions you will be riding in mainly, waves or flat water? This effects paddle length and often blade width.

Newer paddles are far more efficent so the 8 inch wide blades have now become our biggest sellers, offering a powerful stroke but without the need to really grunt and force the stroke creating fatigue. This makes them the right choice for most riders and a must for lighter riders and ladies.

Construction wise we recommend at least a carbon shaft for weight saving and performance. Glass blades offer excellent value to performance ratios although full carbon paddles really are beautiful, so do not use one unless you are prepared to buy one!
