Kitesurf Boards

Kite boards have evolved from long narrow stiff planks, which were needed with the older generation of C kites, to shorter but wider (more than 40cm) flexible boards capable of huge jumps and great speeds.

New construction techniques, along snowboarding lines, using work cores, ABS side rails, carbon stringers....... All add up to super strong, great performing boards that are normally suitable from begineers to advanced riders.

There has been massive development in true wave riding specific boards. Airush and Naish make great surf kite boards. These resemble small surf boards but in a much tougher construction. They can be ridden either strapped or strapless, depending on your style.

Course racing boards are beginning to filter into the country, after their rise in popularity overseas. Check it out if you have not done so already. They are a real weapon both upwind and off the wind. The 2013 offerings have been designed with the knowledge of kite racing soon to be in the Olympics!,
